Cascada 1103
Yesterday everything was kool until...I'm at work and the cell-phone rings. B/F:Hi, we have a problem. Me:What?. B/F:The apartment is flooding. He passes by, picks me up and we go to the apart. My apartment, is part of a house divided nicely to 3 apartments per floor level. The house has two levels, and its also elevated from the ground level, so there are steps to get inside the house.
When we got there, water was gushing out coming under the security front door and down the steps. Every apartment in the first level was flooded and in the second only the one that was spitting out the water. Thankfully the errand guy, called Victor, passed by and saw all this and went to get the keys to the apartment to open it an stop the water. In the meantime I was brushing away water with a broom in front of my apartment door. Victor came with the keys and we followed him to the second floor and to the apartment we believe was causing the disaster.
The water was coming out of the tube that supplies the water to the toilet tank. So we closed the key, and Victor stayed in the second level with a broom and a mop sending the water from her room to me on the first floor, for me to brush out of the house. For a moment I thought the water would never end. Finally he came down and then open the apartments in the first floor (I insisted, nasty it would be to arrive at your house and find it covered in water). Well, the same routine was repeated for each room in the first floor: open the room take out the water and pass a towel to get whats left.
Thankfully the damages at first glance all seem to be extremely superficial... That and the funky smell we are going to have for the next couple of weeks.

I came to read your blog since you left a comment on mine today....so sorry to hear about all the water!! I hope you can get some box fans set-up around any wet walls and floors to help dry it quickly, or otherwise your whole apartment will smell like a wet dog by next week. I speak from experience.

¡Pobrecita Mika! I have a Q though, where any of your neighbors pissed you went into their apartments? Cause you know how people sometimes can be; even if you're doing them a favor, they get all bitchy at you.
